The Flood Rescue Boat Operator Instructor (FRBOI) pathway is designed for rescue professionals who want to teach both the RBO and FRBO syllabus, and includes a flood response training element.
Prerequisites:
- Logged experience of Powerboat operations (1 year)
- Swiftwater and Flood First Responder course (2 days)
- Flood Rescue Boat Operator course (3 days)
- First aid qualification, appropriate for the environment in which they will be working.
Instructor training:
- Flood Rescue Boat Operator Instructor training (3 days)
Instructor assessment:
- Flood Rescue Boat Operator Instructor Assessment (2 days)
Qualification valid for:
2 years
Able to teach:
- Rescue Boat Operator
- Flood Rescue Boat Operator
- Hazardous Area Response Team Inland Water Operative, if also a Swiftwater and Flood Rescue Technician Instructor or Swiftwater and Flood Rescue Technician Advanced Instructor
