Coastal Module (CM)
The Coastal Module (CM) course is designed for inland boat operators who may operate near or travel along tidal rivers and estuaries (eg category C and D in the UK), in daytime and fair weather conditions, who need an understanding of the unique regulations. It is not designed as a coastal rescue course or for use in non-categorised waters.

6 hours (1 day)
Prerequisites:
- Rescue Boat Operator (RBO)
or - Flood Rescue Boat Operator (FRBO)
or - Swiftwater and Flood Rescue Boat Operator (SFRBO)

- Weather forecasts
- Regulations and buoyage
- Tidal awareness
- Night and poor visibility considerations
- Emergency procedures
- Securing to a buoy
- Coming alongside other boats/jetties/pontoons
- Anchoring/securing
- Navigation and passage planning
