Preparation for Polar Boat Operations (PPBO)
The Preparation for Polar Boat Operations course is for personnel who operate small boats in support of land-based or ship-based operations in polar regions. It builds on existing training and experience, with a focus on specialised preparation for deployment in the challenging Arctic and Antarctic environments. The PPBO course ensures personnel are equipped with the knowledge and understanding needed to operate effectively and safely.

- Rescue 3 Rescue Boat Operator (RBO)
or
International Certificate of Competence (ICC) or equivalent national course.
