Whitewater Canyon Technician Instructor (WCTI)
The Whitewater Canyon Technician Instructor (WCTI) pathway is designed for is designed for people who wish to teach canyon guides further knowledge on the whitewater element of canyons, to provide the necessary skills to perform rescues and
keep clients safe in whitewater canyons.
Prerequisites:
- Whitewater Canyon Technician – Professional (WCT-PRO)
- Whitewater Rescue Technician Advanced (WRTA)
- First aid qualification, appropriate for the environment in which they will be working.
Instructor training:
- Whitewater Canyon Technician Instructor training (5 days)
Instructor assessment:
- Whitewater Canyon Technician Instructor assessment (3 days)
Candidates are expected to further develop their personal skills and knowledge between their training and assessment courses, following an individual action plan outlined in the training course debrief.
Existing Whitewater Rescue Technician Instructors (WRTI) with canyon experience can contact Rescue 3 Europe for a bespoke pathway.
Qualification valid for:
2 years
Able to teach:
- Whitewater Canyon Technician – Recreational (WCT-REC)
- Whitewater Canyon Technician – Professional (WCT-PRO)
