Swiftwater Paddle Boat Handling Instructor (SPBHI)

The Swiftwater Paddle Boat Handling Instructor pathway is designed for existing SRTIs or SFRBOIs with the necessary paddle boat handling experience to deliver the SPBH course.

Prerequisites:

• Swiftwater Paddle Boat Handling (SPBH) course
• Swiftwater and Flood Rescue Technician Instructor (SRTI)
  or
  Swiftwater and Flood Rescue Boat Operator (SFRBOI)
• Logged experience of paddle boat handling
• First aid qualification, appropriate for the environment in which they will be working.

Instructor training:

• Swiftwater Paddle Boat Handling Instructor training (2 days)

Instructor assessment:

• Swiftwater Paddle Boat Handling Instructor assessment (1 day)

Qualification valid for:

2 years

Able to teach:

• Swiftwater Paddle Boat Handling (SPBH)
