Confined Space Rescue Operator Instructor (CSROI)
The Confined Space Rescue Operator Instructor course will enable tuition of those who operate safely and effectively during confined space rescues, as an active part of a confined space rescue team, working under the supervision of Confined Space Rescue Technicians.
Prerequisites:
- Confined Space Rescue Operator (CSRO) (30 hours/5 days)
- Confined Space Rescue Technician (CSRT) (30 hours/5 days)
- First aid qualification, appropriate for the environment in which they will be working.
Instructor training
- Confined Space Rescue Operator Instructor training (30 hours/5 days)
Instructor assessment
- Confined Space Rescue Operator Instructor assessment (18 hours/3 days)
Candidates are expected to further develop their personal skills and knowledge between their training and assessment courses, following an individual action plan outlined in the training course debrief.

- 2 years

- Safe Working in Confined Space 1 (SWCS1)
- Safe Working In Confined Space 2 (SWCS2)
- Confined Space Entry and Rescue 1 (CSER1)
- Confined Space Entry and Rescue 2 (CSER2)
- Confined Space Rescue Operator (CSRO)
