Water and Flood Team Leader (WFTL)
The Water and Flood Team Leader course is for existing SFR, SRT or SFRBOs who will lead a team of that level at water and flood incidents.

Prerequisites:
- Swiftwater and Flood First Responder (SFR)
or - Swiftwater and Flood Rescue Technician (SRT)
or - Swiftwater and Flood Rescue Boat Operator (SFRBO)

- Foundation knowledge
- Flood theory
- Incident size-up
- Incident management and site control
- Medical and decontamination considerations
- Considerations for night/poor visibility operations
- Management of river and flood searches
- Guidance and best practice documents
- Management of rescues from vehicles in water
- Pre-planning for water incidents
- Welfare considerations
- Management of powered boat operations (if used by team)
- Weather and flood warning information
- Local emergency flood plans
- Team typing and deployment of national assets
- Water and Flood Team Leader exercise
